Who we are

Cheewawa is a chihuahua blog published at cheewawa.com and run by HOX Media. For anything privacy related, use the contact form.

What we collect

Contact form: your name, email address, and message. We store them in our database and use them for one thing only: replying to you.

Newsletter: your email address, stored until you unsubscribe. No tracking pixels, no profiling, no passing it on.

Server logs: like almost every website, our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested). We use them for security and debugging, and they rotate out automatically.

Third parties

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers when you visit. Traffic is routed through Cloudflare for speed and security. Both may see your IP address as part of serving the site.

Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which posts get read. It sets cookies (such as _ga) and collects usage data like pages viewed, rough location, and how you found us. We only ever look at it in aggregate. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking its cookies.

Advertising: we use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites, and may use your IP address to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads depending on your consent settings. You can manage this at Google Ad Settings, opt out of other third-party vendors at aboutads.info, and read how Google uses data at policies.google.com.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. One message through the contact form does the job. Newsletter emails stop as soon as you unsubscribe.

Changes

If we add or change anything that touches your data, this page gets updated first and the date at the top changes. No silent edits.
